Music Outreach ProgramsWomen of Note is pro-active in bringing music opportunities to Mason County for people of all ages. Our mission is to teach and perform choral works to interested persons of all ages, to participate in community service activities, and to develop and maintain public interest in vocal arts. Here are some of the ways we support the choral arts through the donations we receive from you!
Schools and Education *Tree Lighting Ceremony with 100+ Shelton/Pioneer school choirs *Annual music retreats for local choral singers and directors Supporting Local Charities *Pioneer Arts and Crafts Fair annually *Support local 501 (c) 3 organizations *Soup & Sound / Music on the Hill / Friends of the Library Supporting Community Choirs *Collaborated with Harstine Island Community Choir and its new conductor 2022 *Members sang with church choirs for Songs of Freedom Veteran’s Concert 2019 *Choral music exchange with Lyrica, 2017, in Shelton and Bremerton Music Ambassadors *Backup singers for the rock band FOREIGNER, performing I Wanna Know What Love Is as part of their outreach for music education in schools and communities in August 2023 *Sponsored concert for Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian music with Magi Ensemble *Represented Mason County at WA State Fair 2019 * Performed with many WA choirs at the Special Olympics USA Games Opening Ceremony 2018 |
